With a naturally cooler growing season at our Wirtz Vineyard, our 2022 unfiltered Pinot Noir showcases beautiful aromatics and elegance on the palate. On the nose, framboise and bright cherry meet subtle hints of weathered leather, tarragon and cocoa. A medley of red fruit with integrated, yet prominent tannins, make for an exceptional food wine. Our Heirloom Clone Pinot Noir is made from 100% Pommard clone fruit. Pommard is a historic Pinot Noir clone from Burgundy, know for its expressive fruit and ability to showcase the terroir of the vineyard in which it is planted. This vintage has aromatics of spiced pomegranate, rose petal, and subtle notes of orange peel. Toasted clove and cedar with nuances of saddle leather and tobacco show this wine's rustic nature. On the palate, black and red cherry intermingle, and the careful selection of barrels carries the fruit to a long, balanced finish with the oak. The tannin structure is most evident mid-palate; it is fine and pronounced but smooths out before the long finish.  Ⓥ

Our 2023 Whole Cluster Pinot Noir displays aromatics of brambly fruit and cedar, while rose petals balance the spice of black tea, clove and anise. On the palate the brambly red and black raspberry and spice come together with a beautiful lingering finish. Notes of fresh candied lemon and apple, along with a hint of pineapple and river rock, and a touch of white pepper define the nose. A medley of Asian pear, Meyer lemon, and pineapple define the palate, where a roundness and soft oak presence dances on the palate and the fruit carries through to a lingering finish. Ⓥ

The 2023 Wirtz Pinot Gris comes from older vine plantings at our Wirtz vineyard. On the nose, notes of fresh greenery, a dewy early morning hike through an orchard, along with gooseberry, green apple, and kiwi interplay with each other. On the palate, honeydew and key lime with an essence of white pepper round the richness of fruit. A soft mouthfeel carries into the finish.  Ⓥ

Our 2023 unfiltered Wirtz Pinot Noir showcases beautiful aromatics and elegance on the palate. On the nose, black cherry, potpourri, violet, and sarsaparilla meet subtle hints of moss, cedar, and aged leather. This Chablis style Chardonnay from our Wirtz Vineyard displays bright aromas of honeysuckle and tangerine peel with lingering notes of grilled lemon and spiced baked apple. Asian pear and crisp tart apple meet a delicate fennel savorines on the palate.
